Meet the Coaches:
Kim Gelsthorpe: Coach Gelsthorpe is married and has 2 girls. She was born and raised in Houston, TX. Coach Gelsthorpe earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and has worked in Sealy since 1996.
Casey Anderson: Coach Anderson is married and has 3 children. He was born in Houston and was raised in Navasota, TX. Coach Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Sam Houston University and has worked in Sealy since 2001.
Evelyn Howard: Coach Howard is married and has 4 daughters. She was born in California. Coach Howard joined Selman Intermediate in 2007. She and her family moved to Sealy from Las Cruces, NM.

Special Events
Jump Rope for Heart: (January-February) students raise money to help the American Heart Association
Mileage Club: students earn "toe tokens" and other rewards for running on Mon. and Wed. at recess
Field Day: (late April) students compete in a mini track meet
President's Fitness Testing: students are tested in different fitness areas such as:
- sit-ups: abdominal strength
- push-ups: upper body strength
- sit-n-reach: flexibility
- pull-ups: upper body strength
- shuttle run: agility
- mile run: endurance
